Personally, I’m not a fan of buying everything that has “natural” or “organic” slapped on the label. How to Choose Quality Czech Cosmetics
As I mentioned, I always look for cosmetics that are science-based and eco-friendly. I’m interested in whether a product is circular (meaning it uses waste materials in production – like coffee grounds or used cooking oil), or whether it uses biodegradable materials (materials that are completely biologically decomposable), whether its production is zero-waste (and nanofibre applications are leading the way here), and what kind of packaging it uses.
Packaging is actually a huge topic. Most people assume that paper, glass, or aluminium packaging is the most eco-friendly. In reality, however, it turns out that white plastic is actually the most recyclable. It doesn’t look “green” enough at first glance, so most companies avoid it for marketing reasons.
Bioplastics are problematic too – most current recycling technologies can’t properly recycle them yet.

Conventional cosmetics are packed with microplastics. That’s why I’m particularly impressed by a Czech invention that tackles this issue head-on: a natural polymer called P3HB, which replaces synthetic substances that produce microplastics in cosmetics. What’s more, nanofibre masks were originally developed from wound-healing technology, making them many times more effective than conventional face masks.
The application process is wonderful too: simply dampen your face thoroughly, apply the mask, and it dissolves right into your skin.
