Glamping in Czech Republic: 34 Best Places for 2026

The word glamping is searched for over 27,000 times a month on the internet, making it one of the biggest travel trends in recent years. But once you start looking for inspiration on where to go, most lists keep offering you the same fifteen well-trodden spots. That’s why I decided to put together the ultimate guide to 34 Czech glamping sites from across the entire country, including lesser-known areas like the Ore Mountains, Slezská Harta, or Valašsko. For each one, you’ll also find current ratings and the number of reviews from Google Maps so you know exactly what to expect.

But before we dive into choosing the most beautiful yurts and treehouses, I have to be completely honest with you. Glamping definitely isn’t for everyone and it’s certainly not worth it for all of us. If you like heading out early every morning on all-day hikes and only return to your accommodation to sleep, a traditional guesthouse would serve you much better and you’d save a lot of money.

What you’re really paying for in glamping is the place itself. It’s an experience where you arrive, slow down, open a bottle of wine on the terrace and simply… be. It’s worth it for you when you plan to spend most of your time on-site, take leisurely walks through nearby forests, and spend evenings relaxing in a sauna or soaking in a hot tub.

What Is Glamping and How It Differs from Camping

The word glamping came from combining the English words glamorous and camping, which translates to luxury camping. The main idea is that you sleep in the middle of nature listening to the rustle of trees, but at the same time you have access to a real comfortable bed, electricity, and in most cases your own bathroom.

While at a traditional campsite you need to bring everything and set it up yourself, with glamping you just need to arrive with a small suitcase. I’ve prepared a simple comparison table so you can see the main differences clearly:

In the Czech Republic today, you’ll encounter several basic types of glamping. By far the most common are luxury safari tents, which consist of solid canvas stretched over a wooden platform. A huge hit in recent years has been geodetic domes, which have a large transparent front wall so you literally fall asleep under the stars.

For those who love warmth, Mongolian yurts are excellent — they insulate beautifully and are easy to heat. Tree houses offer the most romance, though you’ll need to expect less space inside. For practical year-round accommodation, there are various insulated tiny houses and designer caravans.

💡 Practical tip on seasons: Most classic canvas glamping sites in the Czech Republic operate only from April to October. If you’re looking for year-round operation, focus primarily on yurts, tiny houses, and well-insulated wooden cabins. However, always verify winter operation directly with the host, as rules often change seasonally.

How to Choose Glamping

Before you start browsing through the list of thirty-four places, I recommend answering six basic questions. It’ll save you a lot of time and disappointment because each glamping site offers a completely different atmosphere.

1. Are you going for peace and quiet, or for day trips? This is absolutely crucial. As I mentioned in the introduction, if you plan to drive somewhere different every day, you’ll save money with a traditional guesthouse. Glamping makes sense when you want to enjoy the place itself, sit with a book on the terrace, and not rush anywhere. 2. Do you want a hot tub and sauna, or peace and quiet? Private wellness amenities raise accommodation prices the most. Plus, many sites have only one sauna for the entire camp, so you have to book specific time slots. If you’re mainly after forest tranquility, look for isolated locations without unnecessary luxury frills. 3. Are you traveling with children or as a couple? Romantic treehouses and transparent domes are almost always designed for two people only. If you’re traveling with family, look for large safari tents with separate bedrooms or spacious yurts where children can move freely. 4. How far are you willing to travel? For a weekend getaway, it doesn’t make sense to spend half a day driving. The Czech Republic’s most accessible glamping sites are found in regions like Posázaví, the Vltava lakes, and the Brdy forests in central-western areas. In the east, sunny Pálava or the foothills of the White Carpathians offer excellent options. For those in more mountainous regions, the Jeseníky Mountains and the area around Slezská Harta are worth exploring. 5. When are you planning to book? The best Czech glamping sites don’t have dozens of tents — usually just one to three private units. This means summer holidays and weekends often sell out months in advance. Plan well ahead. 6. Weather is simply part of the experience. You need to be prepared for the fact that every rain is very loud in a tent or plastic dome. On hot August days, it can get quite stuffy. If weather extremes bother you, you’d better choose a solid yurt or a traditional wooden tiny house.

The 34 Best Glamping Sites in Czech Republic

💡 The best Czech sites usually have just one to three units, so they sell out months in advance for summer and weekends. With this map you can compare what’s available right now — handy if your dates are flexible and you need to see alternatives in the area.

Let’s look at specific places. I’ve deliberately arranged them so that different regions and types of accommodation alternate, from luxury resorts to remote forest hideaways. For each location, you’ll find real ratings so you know how satisfied guests have been.

1. Colony Glamping — Brdy, Rožmitál pod Třemšínem

★4.8 (327 reviews) · luxury tents and domes

If you’re looking for an escape from the city, the deep Brdy forests provide the perfect sanctuary. This resort represents a great balance between staying in wild nature and having every imaginable comfort. According to reviews, guests most appreciate waking up to views of greenery and the immense peace that surrounds the entire space.

You can choose between large safari tents and designer domes, from which you have wonderful views of the stars in the evening. While the tents are absolutely ideal for families with children due to their size, the transparent domes work as the perfect romantic hideaway for couples.

💡 Tip: The Brdy area is easily accessible by car from central areas of the country (about an hour or so, depending on your starting point). The region is crisscrossed with fantastic cycling trails, so don’t forget to pack your bikes. Check prices and availability

2. GLAMPINO — Český Krumlov

★4.9 (198 reviews) · designer cabins

This place proves that glamping doesn’t necessarily mean just a canvas tent. GLAMPINO offers beautiful wooden designer cabins that blend sensitively into the surrounding South Bohemian landscape. The interior is minimalist, smells of wood, and thanks to the huge glass walls you feel like you’re sitting right in the middle of a meadow, even when it’s raining outside.

The cabins are excellently insulated, making them a great choice for year-round stays, even in the middle of freezing winter. They’re designed primarily for couples seeking maximum privacy, high accommodation standards, and an escape from everyday stress.

💡 Tip: The cabins are located near Český Krumlov, so you’ll get here quickly from České Budějovice. It’s worth combining your nature stay with an evening stroll through Krumlov’s historic centre, once the crowds of day-trippers have left. check prices and availability

3. Glamping Hive — Čmelíny near Nepomuk, Pilsen Region

★5 (71 reviews) · domes

Glamping Hive offers exactly the type of accommodation that looks incredibly photogenic. You stay in geodesic domes with a giant transparent wall that gives you views straight into the surrounding nature. Guests in reviews often mention the cleanliness of the entire concept and how magical it is to watch the sunset directly from bed.

This type of accommodation is an absolute synonym for couple’s romance. You won’t find separate rooms for children here; the entire space is conceived as one large, airy room that invites you to spend time together over a glass of wine.

💡 Tip: The location near Nepomuk means you’re really close to Pilsen. The surrounding area is beautiful, gently rolling countryside that’s ideal for easy afternoon walks. On weekends this place gets fully booked very quickly. check prices and availability

4. Jurty v Sadu — Český Brod, Central Bohemia

★4.9 (78 reviews) · yurts

If tents don’t appeal to you and domes seem too modern, traditional Mongolian yurts will definitely win you over. These are built in the middle of an old orchard, which gives them an incredibly romantic atmosphere in spring when everything is in blossom. The interior of the yurt is beautifully colourful, cosy, and exudes tremendous calm and peace.

The advantage of yurts is their circular shape and excellent insulation, so they can be heated very quickly and efficiently with small wood-burning stoves. This means you can come here even during damp autumn, when sitting by a crackling fire is the best experience of the entire stay.

💡 Tip: This is one of the most accessible glampings for people near Prague; by car you’re here from the city outskirts in about thirty minutes. An ideal choice when you need to switch off quickly on a Friday afternoon after work and don’t want to spend hours on the motorway. check prices and availability

5. Stromodům Žítková s.r.o. — White Carpathians, Žítková

★4.9 (79 reviews) · treehouse

The landscape of the Moravian Kopanice around the legendary village of Žítková has a magical atmosphere in itself. When you add sleeping in a beautiful wooden house directly in the tree canopy, you have an unforgettable weekend sorted. Guests praise the incredible feeling when the tree gently sways in the wind and you’re part of it.

The treehouse is a fulfilled childhood dream, but here it’s transformed into a luxurious adult version. The place is designed exclusively for couples, there’s not much space inside, but that makes the whole experience more intimate and cosy.

💡 Tip: From Brno you can get here in about an hour and a half, from Ostrava it’s a bit further. Definitely plan a walk in the surrounding hills, because the views towards the Slovak side of the border are simply breathtaking. check prices and availability

6. Císařský medový glamping — below Hasištejn, Ore Mountains

★5 (62 reviews) · apitherapy glamping

This place offers something completely different from classic tents. It’s called apitherapy, where you sleep in close proximity to bee colonies (safely separated, of course). The air in the cabin is saturated with the scent of honey, propolis, and beeswax, which according to many guests has fantastic calming effects on the respiratory system and nervous system.

The accommodation is very tastefully furnished and besides healthy sleep itself, you’ll also enjoy the beautiful Ore Mountains nature. It’s a great tip for people who have trouble sleeping or are looking for a truly unconventional and deeply relaxing experience.

💡 Tip: You’re located below Hasištejn Castle, near Chomutov, so from Prague you’ll get here in an hour and fifteen minutes. Definitely take a hiking trip directly to the ruins; the Ore Mountains have a beautifully rugged and unspoiled atmosphere here. check prices and availability

7. Glamping Skrytín — Dobkovice, Bohemian Switzerland

★5 (59 reviews) · luxury tents

With a clean five-star rating from nearly sixty reviews, this is one of the most popular glampings in the country. It’s located in an absolutely peaceful spot, surrounded by deep forests that form the gateway to Bohemian Switzerland. The local safari tents are huge, luxuriously equipped, and guests love the spacious wooden terraces most of all.

Thanks to the generous space, families with children fit here comfortably too, for whom staying in a giant tent is a great adventure. At the same time, you’ll find plenty of privacy and peace here if you come just as a couple.

💡 Tip: From Ústí nad Labem or Děčín it’s a short drive, from Prague count on an hour and a half. It’s an excellent strategic point for day trips, but honestly — once you check in, you quite possibly won’t want to leave that beautiful terrace. check prices and availability

8. Glamp U Rozmařilého námořníka — Razová near Slezská Harta

★4.7 (81 reviews) · waterfront glamping

Most glampings hide in the forest, but this one offers a beautiful view directly onto the water. Slezská Harta itself is a quieter alternative to overcrowded reservoirs and the nautical-themed tents fit in perfectly here. Morning coffee with a view of the morning mist over the water is, according to reviews, the best moment of the day.

The complex is family-friendly, but groups of friends will appreciate it too, combining comfortable accommodation with swimming or boat trips. The interiors are very playful and styled in blue-and-white tones.

💡 Tip: For people from Ostrava and the surrounding area it’s less than an hour’s drive, which makes this place a perfect weekend destination. If you like paddleboards, definitely bring them along, because you have access to the water literally a few steps from your bed. check prices and availability

9. Glamping Valašsko — Halenkov, Wallachia

★4.9 (61 reviews) · tents and barrels

The Wallachian landscape with its rolling hills and grazing sheep creates the perfect backdrop for a peaceful holiday. This complex combines accommodation in spacious tents with the option to sleep in stylish wooden barrels. Guests repeatedly mention the incredible hospitality of the owners and the excellently maintained hot tubs, which come in handy after a full day’s hike.

While the tents offer generous space ideal for longer stays, the wooden barrels are more of an experiential accommodation for one or two nights for couples who don’t mind slightly tighter but cosier space.

💡 Tip: Excellent accessibility from Zlín and Ostrava. Wallachia is a paradise for mountain bike and hiking enthusiasts, so I recommend heading to the ridges during the day and rewarding your tired muscles in hot water in the evening. check prices and availability

10. TreeHouse Ještěd — Křižany pod Ještědem

★4.6 (78 reviews) · treehouse

The combination of an iconic mountain and sleeping in the treetops works flawlessly. The house is sensitively integrated into the surrounding forest, and guests particularly enjoy the complete disconnection from the digital world. There’s no wi-fi here; instead, you’ll find plenty of board games and light your evenings with lanterns only, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere.

Like all treehouses, this one is designed primarily for couples in love. Pack a good book, a bottle of wine, and prepare to be woken in the morning only by birdsong and rustling leaves.

💡 Tip: You’re just minutes from Liberec, and from major European hubs you’ll arrive comfortably in about an hour and a half. During the day, a hike directly to the Ještěd tower is tempting, but expect to meet quite a lot of people on weekends, unlike the peace of your treehouse. check prices and availability

11. Glamping Prusíny — Prusíny, Pilsen Region

★5 (52 reviews) · dome

Another representative of geodesic domes, this time hidden in a picturesque landscape near Pilsen. The place excels with enormous attention to detail and a minimalist, clean interior that doesn’t distract from what matters most — the view outside. The dome offers every imaginable luxury and is excellently insulated, so you’ll feel comfortable even during cooler evenings. Again, this is a format of accommodation that couples seeking undisturbed privacy will appreciate most.

This glamping benefits from a fantastic location in the sunny Pálava region. Guests love the evening atmosphere when the sun sets, the air smells of ripening grapes, and you feel more like you’re somewhere in Tuscany than in Czechia.

The accommodation is very modern, clean, and offers plenty of space. It’s an ideal choice for wine and cycling enthusiasts, whether you come as a couple or as a small group of friends who want to spend the day exploring local wine cellars.

💡 Tip: From Brno you’ll reach here in forty minutes via the motorway. Pálava is absolutely stunning in autumn but also at its busiest, so you need to sort out reservations for September and October well in advance. check prices and availability

13. Yurt In The Wood | Jurta pod hvězdou — Hřibojedy near Dvůr Králové

★4.8 (55 reviews) · yurt

The name of this place doesn’t lie — you’ll find a beautiful, spacious yurt truly hidden deep in the forest. It’s a place where foxes say goodnight and where you’ll completely forget the stress of the work week. Inside you’ll find a massive bed and a central skylight through which you can gaze directly at the stars before falling asleep.

The yurt is very cozy and thanks to its circular shape feels harmonious. It’s perfect for couples seeking an escape from civilization while still wanting to maintain a high standard of sleeping in soft duvets.

💡 Tip: The place lies near Dvůr Králové, so from Hradec Králové you’re here in a flash. A trip to the nearby Safari Park is an obvious choice, but you might ultimately prefer just walks through the surrounding quiet forests. check prices and availability

It’s an immensely peaceful place that suits both romantic weekends for two and smaller families. The wooden decks in front of the tents are perfect for long summer breakfasts.

💡 Tip: Lesonice lies roughly halfway between the major cities of Brno and the capital, making it an ideal meeting point for couples from different parts of the country. 17. Glamping Posázaví — Poříčí nad Sázavou

★5 (43 reviews) · riverside tents

We’re staying in Posázaví but moving closer to the river. This glamping offers huge luxury tents with beautiful wooden elements. The rating with a clean five stars testifies that they’re doing things right here. People especially praise the view of the flowing water and excellently equipped tent facilities.

The place is very popular with families because children love the water and the space around the tents. At the same time, thanks to good spacing between units, you’ll also enjoy plenty of privacy as a couple.

💡 Tip: Again, this is one of the most accessible glampings from major cities. The proximity to the river means that in summer you can enjoy swimming or rent a boat, which is a huge advantage on hot days compared to campsites locked deep in the forest. check prices and availability

This is an absolutely luxurious and exclusive experience for which you’ll naturally pay a premium in Switzerland. It’s a place for special celebrations and milestone anniversaries.

💡 Tip: The journey through Germany and Switzerland is long, but the domes operate year-round, so you can visit even in the middle of winter and enjoy the snow in absolute luxury.

How Much Glamping Costs and When to Book

Honestly? Glamping isn’t a budget affair. As I mentioned in the introduction, you’ll often pay more than for a very decent guesthouse in the area. Prices also fluctuate constantly, which is why on accommodation websites you’ll usually only find booking calendars without a fixed price list. It always depends on the specific dates, occupancy, and length of stay.

If you want to save money or just try out whether you’ll enjoy it at all, avoid summer holidays and weekends. Off-season (April, May, September, and October) is often significantly cheaper, and nature is far more interesting in these months than in hot August, when tents can get uncomfortably stuffy.

Also watch out carefully for surcharges. By far the biggest price increase comes from private wellness facilities like hot tubs, saunas, or bathing barrels. Before you start comparing two different offers, always carefully check whether sauna access is already included in the price or whether you’ll have to pay extra on site.

As for reservations, you need to be quick. Especially at the most beautiful places with just one or two units, weekend slots for summer disappear as early as winter. If you find a place you like and they have a free weekend, don’t hesitate long.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly does the word glamping mean?

The word was created by combining the English words “glamorous” and “camping”. It describes a form of accommodation where you’re in close contact with nature, but at the same time you have a high standard of comfort, such as a proper bed, electricity, and your own bathroom facilities.

What’s the main difference between camping and glamping?

While for camping you need to bring your own tent, sleeping mat, and sleeping bag, for glamping you arrive with just a suitcase of personal items. The accommodation is already prepared for you, you usually sleep on a quality mattress, and you don’t have to deal with pitching a tent or shared showers with other visitors.

Is glamping suitable for families with children?

Yes, but you need to carefully choose the type of accommodation. Spacious safari tents or large yurts are a great experience for children. On the other hand, small treehouses or transparent domes are usually designed exclusively for couples, and staying there with children wouldn’t be comfortable for either party.

When is the best time to make a reservation?

The best glamping sites in the Czech Republic tend to sell out very quickly because they often have only a few units. Summer holidays and popular long weekends need to be booked several months in advance. If you have flexible dates, look for availability on weekdays.

Can I go glamping in winter too?

It depends on the specific location. Classic safari tents typically have a season from spring to autumn. If you want to go in winter, look for year-round operations, such as insulated wooden cabins (tiny houses) or Mongolian yurts, which can be very efficiently heated with stoves.

What should I bring with me?

Layer your clothing. Evenings in nature tend to be cool, even if it was hot during the day. Definitely pack sturdy shoes for forest walks, a flashlight, and mosquito repellent. Everything else, such as bedding, towels, or basic kitchenware, will already be waiting for you.

How much does glamping typically cost?

Prices vary greatly depending on location, type of accommodation, and season. Generally speaking, however, glamping is more expensive than a regular guesthouse. You’ll pay significantly more for weekend stays and for private wellness facilities (a hot tub or sauna), which tend to be the main attractions of premium sites.

Is there cell signal and wi-fi?

That’s very individual. While luxury resorts offer fast connections, many remote locations (such as treehouses or cabins in the forest) deliberately have neither wi-fi nor signal, so that guests can enjoy a digital detox and truly relax.
