How does the Cooker XA travel cooker and food warmer by Outinspire work?
The Cooker XA by Outinspire is an electric travel cooker and food warmer that’s extremely fast, easy to clean and completely safe to use.
It has a built-in magnet that ensures food is always heated evenly, and thanks to the patented NoBurn™ technology, you never have to worry about scorched food or burnt coffee.
Just press a single button and within a few seconds your baby food is warmed through, while a meal for the grown-ups is ready in a matter of minutes. It’s perfect for baby food, soups and ready-made meals — you can even whip up a bowl of porridge in it.
This portable food warmer charges at home via a standard electrical socket. And thanks to the built-in power bank, you can even charge your phone or other devices on the go.

Drawbacks of the Cooker XA electric cooker by Outinspire
Of course, like any product, this portable Cooker XA travel cooker has its downsides:
- Weight: The cooker weighs 1.7 kg, which is perfectly fine when you’re travelling with a child — pop it in the pram or leave it in the car and you’re sorted. But if you were lugging it on a longer trek in a rucksack, you’d definitely feel it.
- Capacity: The cooker is designed for 1–2 people, which may not be enough for a larger group. Heating up a bigger batch of food would mean running several cycles.
- Price: At €269, it’s not exactly the cheapest, but I swear it’s worth every penny. You’re paying for quality, speed and peace of mind.

Benefits of the Cooker XA by Outinspire
And now let’s take a look at why we fell head over heels for the electric Cooker XA:
- Safety: No open flame means cooking is extremely safe — and that you can use it even in places where lighting a fire is forbidden.
- NoBurn™ Technology: No scorched food and no bitter coffee. Thanks to advanced sensor technology, your food is always perfectly heated to 85 °C.
- Warm up baby food anytime, anywhere: One of the biggest perks for parents of little ones. No more waiting for restaurant staff to heat up the baby food. And we parents know that with small children, every second counts.
- Super fast heating: Thanks to QuickServe™ technology, baby food is warm in seconds and a grown-up’s meal is ready within minutes.
- Simple one-button operation: Yes, this device has just ONE button.
- Over 2 kg capacity per charge: The cooker can heat up to 2000 g of food on a single charge, which is ideal for day trips or an overnight stay in the wild.
- Solar charging: The Cooker XA cooker and warmer can be charged via solar panels.
- Built-in power bank: This is an absolute game-changer — you can charge your phone or other electronic devices straight from the warmer.
- Certifications: The warmer has earned more than 7 different certificates from leading laboratories around the world.
- Danish design: A very minimalist design that also makes the warmer wonderfully easy to clean.
- Great as an electric food warmer for the car, a campervan or even lorries — heat up your food wherever and whenever.

The Cooker XA electric travel cooker: our experience
By now you’ve probably gathered that for us it’s first and foremost the best baby food warmer going. Why? Because it lets us warm up baby food anytime, anywhere — and, crucially, incredibly fast.
We simply carry it with us in the pram and don’t have to wait for restaurant staff to heat up the food. That saves us a lot of stress, because a baby of course doesn’t understand why it should have to wait.

Packaging and design
The Cooker XA electric food and baby food warmer arrived perfectly packaged — which is exactly what you want, given that the product can’t be bought in the shops here in the UK. The design is minimalist and elegant, very much in keeping with its Danish roots. And thanks to its relatively compact dimensions (16.5 cm tall when packed away), it slips easily into a pram or backpack.
Price
The €269 price tag is on the higher side, but considering this is a multifunctional device that has proven itself both for camping and as a baby food warmer, we consider it a sensible investment.

What to watch out for
When using the cooker, it’s important to bear in mind that the capacity is limited to 800 g of food, which is roughly a portion for 1–2 people. For a larger group you’ll need to heat the food in several batches. It’s also worth knowing that, due to its safety features, the cooker isn’t suitable for preparing dishes at temperatures higher than 85 °C.

Tips and Tricks for Your Vacation
Don’t Overpay for Flights
Search for flights on Kayak. It’s our favorite search engine because it scans the websites of all airlines and always finds the cheapest connection.
Book Your Accommodation Smartly
The best experiences we’ve had when looking for accommodation (from Alaska to Morocco) are with Booking.com, where hotels, apartments, and entire houses are usually the cheapest and most widely available.
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
Good travel insurance will protect you against illness, accidents, theft, or flight cancellations. We’ve had a few hospital visits abroad, so we know how important it is to have proper insurance arranged.
Where we insure ourselves: SafetyWing (best for everyone) and TrueTraveller (for extra-long trips).
Why don’t we recommend any Czech insurance company? Because they have too many restrictions. They set limits on the number of days abroad, travel insurance via a credit card often requires you to pay medical expenses only with that card, and they frequently limit the number of returns to the Czech Republic.
