Best Hotels with Jacuzzi Tubs in Room in Czechia & Slovakia

TL;DROur number one pick is OREA Hotel Arigone in the centre of Olomouc — a split-level wellness room with a jacuzzi and a Finnish sauna right in the room, plus a terrace overlooking the city. Further down you’ll find verified hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room, from Prague (Pytloun Boutique Hotel, Panorama by Verdi Hotels) through the Krkonoše and Beskydy mountains to the High Tatras (Hotel Lomnica). Prices start around €100–120 per night in the regions, while luxury suites and Tatra packages run to €250–335. Jacuzzi, hot tub and whirlpool are practically synonyms in hotel listings, and rooms split into in-room, terrace or private outdoor options. The cheapest prices come from January to March and October to November, ideally on weekdays.

For a long time I didn’t get why so many people were searching for a hotel with a jacuzzi tub in the room. Then Jonáš was born. We hadn’t been to a spa in more than two years, because there was never anyone to babysit.

So we solved it our own way — we headed to OREA Hotel Arigone in Olomouc, where the room comes with not only a jacuzzi but also a Finnish sauna. The little one falls asleep in the evening and you get your own private wellness all to yourselves. Genius. ☺️

In this guide you’ll find verified hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room across Czechia and Slovakia — from our Olomouc favourite through Prague and the Krkonoše mountains to the High Tatras. For each one we give an approximate price, the type of jacuzzi and who it’s best for. We re-checked every hotel this year and dropped the ones that no longer offer an in-room jacuzzi.

Table of Contents

Jacuzzi vs. hot tub vs. whirlpool — what’s the difference?

Before we dive into the list, let’s clear up one thing that confuses just about everyone. Jacuzzi is actually a brand — the name of the Italian company that popularised the tubs. Hot tub and whirlpool are the general terms for a tub with jets and bubbles. In practice all three terms are used interchangeably, and hotels mix them however they like. 😅

So if you’re searching for a hotel with a jacuzzi bath in the room or a room with a hot tub, it’s the same thing. In this article we’ll use both terms — whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.

Types of rooms with a jacuzzi

When choosing a hotel you’ll come across three main options:

  • Jacuzzi in the room (in the bathroom) — right in the bathroom or bedroom. Ideal in winter, since you don’t have to go anywhere.
  • Jacuzzi on the terrace/balcony — the more romantic option with a view. Great in any season, though in winter be prepared for the step from warm water into cold air to be… refreshing. 😁
  • Private outdoor jacuzzi — in the garden of a villa or cottage. The most privacy, often part of renting the whole property.

Our top pick: OREA Hotel Arigone Olomouc — jacuzzi and sauna right in the room

We drove to Olomouc precisely for this room. OREA Hotel Arigone is a four-star boutique hotel in a historic building on Univerzitní Street, a few steps from the Upper Square — and its split-level wellness room is the dream of every parent with small kids: 85 m², a luxurious jacuzzi with an LED starry sky and a Finnish sauna downstairs, and the bedroom up on the mezzanine. Add a terrace overlooking Olomouc’s spires.

This is exactly where, after more than two years, we finally enjoyed a spa — no babysitting, no strangers in the sauna, just our own private spa behind a locked door.

The hotel has a rating of around 8.7/10 on booking portals — guests repeatedly praise the breakfasts, the friendly staff and the central location. If the split-level room is taken, don’t lose heart: Arigone also has a private wellness centre with six rooms (a jacuzzi in all of them, a Finnish sauna in four), which you can book for two hours or for the whole evening. Just note that parking in the courtyard comes at an extra charge.

💡 Tip: The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the Upper Square and the astronomical clock — in our view Olomouc is the most underrated city for a wellness weekend in Czechia. It has the historic atmosphere of Prague but without the crowds.

Price: from around €120/night for two with breakfast (standard room); the split-level wellness room varies by date — there’s only one, so book well ahead | Type: jacuzzi + Finnish sauna right in the room | Best for: couples and parents who finally need to unwind

Hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room in Prague and Central Bohemia

Prague is naturally the most popular destination for a hotel with a jacuzzi tub in the room. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend or want to surprise your other half, the capital has several great options.

Panorama by Verdi Hotels (formerly Panorama Hotel Prague) — jacuzzi and a view of Prague

Where else to start but Prague. We stayed here in a Panorama Suite with a private jacuzzi right in the room — and that moment when, after a whole day of walking around Prague, you sink into a bubbling jacuzzi with a view over the city is simply unbeatable. 😁 Just note: the hotel now operates under the new name Panorama by Verdi Hotels.

The hotel has a rooftop wellness area, Top Deck, with a hot tub and a view of Prague. Since the rebrand the room selection has been changing gradually — if you want a jacuzzi right in the room, check when booking that a suite with a jacuzzi is currently available. One small niggle from our stay: the shower water temperature tended to fluctuate.

Price: from €100/night (jacuzzi suite pricier) | Type: in-room jacuzzi (suite) + rooftop wellness | Best for: couples, a romantic weekend in Prague

Wellness Hotel Republika 24 Apartments — a hotel with a jacuzzi in the room in Plzeň

The apartment is in the centre of Plzeň, and beyond the in-room jacuzzi you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay — super comfy beds and a fully equipped kitchen, so you don’t have to leave the hotel unless you want to. The breakfasts are very good, though the selection could perhaps be a touch bigger. And in Plzeň you can of course take a brewery tour — the perfect plan before heading back to the jacuzzi. 😁

Hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room in the Krkonoše mountains

The Krkonoše mountains and their foothills are probably the most popular area for wellness stays with a jacuzzi in Czechia. Mountain air, beautiful views and, after a full day of hiking, sinking into a bubbling jacuzzi — what more could you want?

Aparthotel Svatý Vavřinec, Pec pod Sněžkou — a private jacuzzi below Sněžka

Aparthotel Svatý Vavřinec is one of our favourite wellness hotels, because it offers family apartments and a private jacuzzi with its own relaxation zone that you can book just for yourselves. And what’s great — the hotel is pet-friendly, so if you’re travelling with a dog you can bring it along.

The apartments are clean, cosy and thought through down to the smallest detail. The hotel’s wellness centre has three saunas and a jacuzzi that are almost empty off-season. Another plus is the on-site supermarket — families with kids especially appreciate that. The one minor downside is that breakfast may not suit vegans, but with an apartment you can prepare your own.

Price: from €150/night | Type: private jacuzzi + wellness with saunas | Best for: families, couples, mountain lovers

SG chalupa ŠTIKOV, Podkrkonoší — a cottage with private wellness

Hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room in Moravia and the Beskydy mountains

Moravia is a paradise for lovers of good food, wine and wellness hotels with a jacuzzi. Whether you head to the Beskydy mountains or to South Moravia for wine — there are surprisingly many hotels with a jacuzzi bath in the room here.

Hotel Maralák, Beskydy — a romantic hotel with a jacuzzi on the terrace

The Beskydy mountains are a paradise for anyone who loves wellness hotels. Hotel Maralák is a wonderful romantic hotel where the apartment comes with a bedroom and a jacuzzi on the terrace, from which you can drink in the untouched Beskydy scenery.

The breakfasts are excellent — with plenty of choice for us vegetarians too. The hotel sits in a strategic spot for hiking in the Beskydy mountains, so it’s trips by day and the jacuzzi in the evening — an ideal combination.

Price: from €120/night | Type: jacuzzi on the terrace | Best for: couples, a romantic stay in the mountains

Resort CATTALEYA, Beskydy — luxury private wellness in the forest

Resort CATTALEYA, set in the heart of the Beskydy forests, offers not only comfortable accommodation but also a private wellness experience with a jacuzzi and sauna. After a day in the mountains you return to your own wellness — no queues, no strangers, just you and the quiet.

Foodies will be in their element thanks to the excellent restaurant and generous breakfasts. The resort is also a great base for golfers — the course is 3 km away. The one small downside is that four-legged friends aren’t welcome.

Boutique penzion Rech, Blansko — a room with a jacuzzi in South Moravia

Boutique penzion Rech offers a sauna and a room with a jacuzzi. Just watch out — the guesthouse has different room types, and the jacuzzi is only in the Deluxe King Suite and the Deluxe Double Room.

Besides the jacuzzi, the main draw is the excellent food — both the buffet breakfast and dinner are superb. There’s also a self-service bar with a selection of rums. Nearby is the Moravian Karst with the Punkva Caves — a great day trip.

Hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room in Slovakia

Slovakia is Czechia’s nearest neighbour, and the High Tatras together with the Slovak spa towns offer a superb choice of wellness accommodation. Just bear in mind that prices are no longer lower than in Czechia — Tatra hotels have gone up sharply in recent years. A genuine jacuzzi right in the room is these days found mainly at Hotel Lomnica.

Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras — a luxury spa with a jacuzzi above Štrbské pleso

If you want to experience true luxury, the Grand Hotel Kempinski on the shore of Štrbské pleso is the best address in Slovakia. One clarification that’s often missing from lists like this: the jacuzzi here isn’t in the room but in the hotel spa overlooking the lake — and honestly, the view of the Tatra peaks from the bubbles beats any room.

The wellness centre is one of the best in Central Europe, the breakfasts are world-class, and a 9.6 rating on Booking speaks for itself. The price matches — but if you’re celebrating an anniversary or want something extra special, Kempinski is the right address.

Price: from around €250/night | Type: jacuzzi in the spa with a view | Best for: couples, luxury occasions

Hotel Lomnica, Tatranská Lomnica — a private jacuzzi on the terrace in the Tatras

Hotel Lomnica is a beautiful historic hotel in Tatranská Lomnica that has undergone a complete renovation — and today it’s the surest bet for a private jacuzzi in the Tatras. The Maria Theresa apartment and the Maria Antoinetta Suite have their own jacuzzi on the terrace, with a view of the Tatra peaks.

From the hotel it’s a short walk to the cable car up Lomnický štít, and the surrounding area has dozens of hikes for every level. After a full day hiking in the Tatras you return to the apartment and sink into the bubbling jacuzzi — there’s no better way to recover. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant serving Slovak cuisine.

Price: wellness packages from around €335/night, apartments with a jacuzzi pricier | Type: jacuzzi on the terrace (selected apartments) | Best for: couples, mountain lovers

Ensana Thermia Palace, Piešťany — thermal spa in grand style

Piešťany is Slovakia’s most famous spa town, and the Art Nouveau Ensana Thermia Palace (formerly Hotel Thermia Palace) from 1912 is its flagship. But you don’t come here for a jacuzzi in the room — you come for the thermal water and sulphur mud, which have been treating joints at the connected Irma Spa for over a hundred years.

The hotel mainly sells multi-day treatment stays with therapies, so plan for a week rather than a weekend. The thermal water has proven benefits for joints and the musculoskeletal system. And the building is simply magnificent — as if you’d travelled a hundred years back in time.

Price: spa stays from around €195/person per night including treatments | Type: thermal spa and treatments | Best for: wellness and health stays

Heads up: well-known hotels where you shouldn’t expect a jacuzzi in the room

During this year’s update we came across several hotels that regularly appear in similar round-ups — but their jacuzzi is only in the shared wellness area, not in the room. So you’re not caught out on arrival:

  • BoHo Prague Hotel (Prague) — a gorgeous design hotel with a 9.4 rating, but the jacuzzi is only in the spa in the basement.
  • Wellness Hotel Frymburk (Lipno) — a large aquapark and wellness, but no jacuzzis in the rooms.
  • Wellness Hotel Horal (Velké Karlovice) — a family hotel with the great shared wellness of Resort Valachy, but don’t expect a jacuzzi in the room.
  • Wellness Hotel Chopok (Demänovská dolina) — the jacuzzis are part of the wellness centres, but it’s an excellent base for skiing in Jasná.

Tips for a cheaper jacuzzi room booking

Rooms with a jacuzzi are usually pricier than standard rooms — no surprise there. But there are a few tricks to save money and treat yourself to a jacuzzi without having to sell a kidney. 😅

Deal sites and discount portals

Deal sites are probably the best place to hunt for discounted wellness stays with a jacuzzi. Packages usually include accommodation, breakfast, wellness and sometimes dinner too — and the price tends to be 30–50% lower than booking directly. It’s worth keeping an eye on local last-minute and deal portals, where genuine bargains sometimes pop up.

Direct booking vs. Booking.com

On Booking.com you can easily find hotels with jacuzzi tubs in room thanks to the “hot tub” filter — just tick it in the filters. If you have a Genius account you also get an extra 10–15% discount. But here’s our tip: always try the hotel’s own website too. Some offer a better price for direct bookings, because they don’t pay Booking’s commission.

The best time of year for a good price

If you’re flexible with dates, the cheapest stays with a jacuzzi are found from January to March (avoid Valentine’s Day!) and from October to November. Weekdays are always cheaper than weekends — Sunday to Thursday tends to be 20–30% cheaper. And watch out for New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day — book those at least 2–3 months ahead, or there’ll be no jacuzzi rooms left.

What to look for when choosing a hotel with a jacuzzi

Not every hotel with a jacuzzi tub in the room is the same. Here are a few things worth watching out for before you click “Book”.

Size and type of jacuzzi

Some hotels have a jacuzzi that barely fits one person — and that’s probably not what you have in mind. Always look at the room photos and, ideally, read the reviews. Look for information on whether the jacuzzi is big enough for two. The difference between a small tub in the corner of a bathroom and a spacious jacuzzi on the terrace is huge.

Other wellness facilities

A jacuzzi in the room is great, but if the hotel also offers a sauna, pool or massages, that’s an added bonus. Some hotels on our list have a complete wellness centre — which you’ll appreciate especially on a longer stay.

Meals and packages

Lots of hotels offer wellness packages that include breakfast, dinner and maybe even a massage. They often work out better value than booking the room alone. Also check whether the hotel has a restaurant — at cottages and apartments with a jacuzzi you’ll be cooking for yourself.

Where to go next for wellness and trips

A jacuzzi in the room is a great foundation — and if you want to make your wellness weekend perfect, get inspired by our other articles:

FAQ — Frequently asked questions about hotels with a jacuzzi

Are rooms with a hot tub more expensive than standard rooms?

Yes, rooms with a hot tub are usually €20–80 more expensive per night than standard rooms in the same hotel. In regional areas (Olomouc, Beskydy, Podkrkonoší), however, you can find a room with a jacuzzi from around €110 per night, which is still a reasonable price for the experience.

What are the best hotels with a hot tub in the room in Prague?

In Prague we recommend Pytloun Boutique Hotel Prague (best value for money) and Panorama by Verdi Hotels (formerly Panorama Hotel Prague — jacuzzi in the suite and rooftop wellness with city views). Just outside Prague, Resort Svět in Úžice is worth considering, with cabins featuring private hot tubs and saunas.

How much does a room with a hot tub cost per night?

Approximate prices for a double room with a hot tub in 2026: in regional areas from around €110, in Prague from €135, in Slovakia from around €160. Luxury suites and Tatra wellness packages range from €240 to €320 per night. Cheapest via Slevomat or outside peak season.

Are there hotels with a hot tub in the room in Slovakia?

Yes, but the selection has narrowed. The safest bet is Hotel Lomnica in Tatranská Lomnica (private hot tub on the terrace in selected apartments). Luxurious spa with hot tub and views can be found at Grand Hotel Kempinski in Štrbské Pleso, and a spa experience with thermal water is offered by Ensana Thermia Palace in Piešťany.

Is an in-room hot tub suitable for families with children?

It depends on the hotel. Some hotels have hot tubs suitable for families too — we recommend Aparthotel Svatý Vavřinec in Pec pod Sněžkou (family apartments + children’s facilities) or Resort Svět near Prague (cabins with hot tub and sauna). At OREA Hotel Arigone in Olomouc, the child sleeps upstairs in the mezzanine while you relax downstairs in the hot tub. Always check with the hotel whether the hot tub is suitable for small children.

What is the difference between a hot tub in the room and on the terrace?

A hot tub in the room (in the bathroom) is more comfortable in winter and offers more privacy. A hot tub on the terrace is more romantic thanks to the views and fresh air, but in cold weather the transition from the water can be less pleasant. Both types are private — it depends on your preferences.

Where can I find the cheapest hotel with a private hot tub?

The cheapest options are OREA Hotel Arigone in Olomouc (from around €110 with breakfast; the mezzanine room has a hot tub and sauna) and Hotel Maralák in the Beskydy Mountains (apartments with hot tub on the terrace from around €115). Also check Slevomat, where wellness packages with hot tubs often come with 30–50% discounts. The cheapest stays are on weekdays outside peak season.

What is the difference between a vířivka, jacuzzi and whirlpool?

In practice, none — all three terms refer to the same thing. Jacuzzi is originally the name of an Italian brand, vířivka is the Czech generic term, and whirlpool is the English equivalent. Hotels use them interchangeably, so when searching, try all three variations.

Tips and Tricks for Your Vacation

Don’t Overpay for Flights

Search for flights on Kayak. It’s our favorite search engine because it scans the websites of all airlines and always finds the cheapest connection.

Book Your Accommodation Smartly

The best experiences we’ve had when looking for accommodation (from Alaska to Morocco) are with Booking.com, where hotels, apartments, and entire houses are usually the cheapest and most widely available.

Don’t Forget Travel Insurance

Good travel insurance will protect you against illness, accidents, theft, or flight cancellations. We’ve had a few hospital visits abroad, so we know how important it is to have proper insurance arranged.

Where we insure ourselves: SafetyWing (best for everyone) and TrueTraveller (for extra-long trips).

Why don’t we recommend any Czech insurance company? Because they have too many restrictions. They set limits on the number of days abroad, travel insurance via a credit card often requires you to pay medical expenses only with that card, and they frequently limit the number of returns to the Czech Republic.

Find the Best Experiences

Get Your Guide is a huge online marketplace where you can book guided walks, trips, skip-the-line tickets, tours, and much more. We always find some extra fun there!
