Disadvantages of the Cooker XA Travel Cooker by Outinspire
Of course, like any product, the portable electric travel cooker Cooker XA has its drawbacks:
- Weight: The cooker weighs 1.7 kg, which is fine when travelling with a baby – you just pop it in the pushchair or keep it in the car. However, if you were planning to use it on longer hikes with a backpack, you’ll feel the extra weight.
- Capacity: The cooker is designed for 1–2 people, which may not be enough for a larger group. To heat more food, you’d need to run multiple cycles.
- Price: The price of €269 isn’t exactly cheap, but I promise you it’s worth every penny. You’re paying for quality, speed, and safety.

Packaging and Design
The electric travel cooker Cooker XA arrived perfectly packaged, which is reassuring since the product isn’t available in most high-street shops. The design is minimalist and elegant, which is exactly what you’d expect from a Danish product. Thanks to its relatively compact dimensions (16.5 cm tall when packed), it easily fits into a pushchair or backpack.
Price
The price of €269 is on the higher side, but considering it’s a multifunctional device that has proven itself both for camping and as a baby food warmer, we consider this investment well worth it.

When using this travel electric cooker, it’s important to remember that the capacity is limited to 800 g of food, which is roughly enough for 1–2 people. For a larger group, you’ll need to heat food in multiple batches. It’s also worth knowing that due to its safety features, the cooker isn’t suitable for preparing food at temperatures higher than 85 °C.

Tips and Tricks for Your Vacation
Don’t Overpay for Flights
Search for flights on Kayak. It’s our favorite search engine because it scans the websites of all airlines and always finds the cheapest connection.
Book Your Accommodation Smartly
The best experiences we’ve had when looking for accommodation (from Alaska to Morocco) are with Booking.com, where hotels, apartments, and entire houses are usually the cheapest and most widely available.
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
Good travel insurance will protect you against illness, accidents, theft, or flight cancellations. We’ve had a few hospital visits abroad, so we know how important it is to have proper insurance arranged.
Where we insure ourselves: SafetyWing (best for everyone) and TrueTraveller (for extra-long trips).
Why don’t we recommend any Czech insurance company? Because they have too many restrictions. They set limits on the number of days abroad, travel insurance via a credit card often requires you to pay medical expenses only with that card, and they frequently limit the number of returns to the Czech Republic.
