In October the water is already quite cold, but it&#8217;s a paradise for surfers or anyone who loves temperatures around 20-25 degrees, the sea, reefs, ceramic workshops, good food and cute little towns.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Praia-do-Vale-Centeanes-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Beach in Portugal Praia do Vale Centeanes\" class=\"wp-image-59568\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Praia-do-Vale-Centeanes-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Praia-do-Vale-Centeanes-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Praia-do-Vale-Centeanes-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Praia-do-Vale-Centeanes.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Beach in Portugal Praia do Vale Centeanes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>You only need 7 days to get to the south of Portugal (see our itinerary <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/roadtrip-algarve-portugal\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"58919\">here<\/a>\n<\/strong>), although we spend at least a month here in each case.<strong> Be sure to rent a car (we use <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"RentalCars.com\" href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/doporucujeme\/rentalcars-com\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">RentalCars<\/a>) so you can get around the coast easily. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p>The itinerary including tips on the best starting points for accommodation can be found <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/roadtrip-algarve-portugal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here. <\/a>\n<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dolomites_%E2%80%93_behind_the_golden_larches\"><\/span>Dolomites &#8211; behind the golden larches<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>October is already a border month for a trip to <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/dolomites\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"58478\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Italian Alps<\/a>\n<\/strong>because it&#8217;s getting cold. <strong>Still, we like to go at the beginning of October to see the golden larches.<\/strong> This year is the first time we are not going to the Dolomites in autumn. Hopefully next year we can make up for it with the little guy. \u263a\ufe0f In the Dolomites there are already a minimum of tourists and hotels are much cheaper at this time. <strong>We don&#8217;t recommend camping though, it can get too cold for that. <\/strong>Check it out if you want to,<strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/jak-vybrat-spacak\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"58114\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> how to choose a good sleeping bag.<\/a>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/vyslap-k-cinque-torri.jpg\" alt=\"Dolomites in October\" class=\"wp-image-74382\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dolomites in October<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Dolomites are ideal for all ages, but we wouldn&#8217;t go with small children in October as some of the lifts are closed and the weather can be lovely but cold.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We recommend going to the Ortisei area, where you can go to Seiser Alm and Seceda. In Ortisei you can stay in <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/bb-villa-angelino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">B&amp;B Villa Angelino<\/a>\n<\/strong> or in stylish apartments <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/apt-lara-siela\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apt Lara Siela<\/a>\n<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our second favourite destination is the area around Cortina. If you travel like us with dogs, try the affordable accommodation in <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/bb-hotel-passo-tre-croci-cortina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">B&amp;B Hotel Passo Tre Croci Cortina<\/a>\n<\/strong>where the breakfasts are excellent, it&#8217;s right on the trek to Lago di Sorapis and the dog was only a small fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Another tip for accommodation: <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/dolomiti-sweet-lodge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dolomiti Sweet Lodge<\/a>\n<\/strong> a <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/hotel-villa-gaia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hotel Villa Gaia<\/a>\n<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Iceland_%E2%80%93_in_October_for_the_polar_September\"><\/span>Iceland &#8211; in October for the polar September<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>Iceland is cold all year round, so whether you go in July or October, you&#8217;ll need a winter hat and waterproof jacket.  <strong>But if you want to see the Northern Lights, you&#8217;re much more likely to see them in <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/iceland-landmarks\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"52999\">Iceland<\/a> in September or October (here&#8217;s an ideal <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/iceland-roadtrip\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"53848\">14-day itinerary<\/a>), as the nights are already longer than in summer.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Go for at least 14 days and you won&#8217;t regret it. It&#8217;s beautiful, but it&#8217;s pretty expensive. <strong>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/aria-hotel-budapest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aria Hotel Budapest by Library Hotel Collection<\/a>\n<\/strong>. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/eurostars-danube-budapest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eurostars Danube Budapest<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/novotel-budapest-danube\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Novotel Budapest Danube<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/milford-suites-budapest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Milford Suites Budapest<\/a><\/strong> are such golden centres <strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Paris\"><\/span>Paris<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n<p>Is there any point in luring you to Paris? <strong>Paris is a city of lovers, rich history, museums, art and good food<\/strong>.
