If you’re planning a trip to the City of Angels, I need to warn you about one absolutely crucial thing right from the start. Choosing accommodation in Los Angeles works completely differently than in European cities<\/strong>, because here you’re not just picking a hotel, but primarily a specific neighborhood. The city is so huge that a poor location choice can cost you hours every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most common mistake tourists make is imagining they’ll stay right by the ocean and pop over to the Hollywood sign or movie studios for a bit each day. From Santa Monica to Hollywood, you’ll easily spend an hour and a half during rush hour<\/strong>, which will definitely stop being fun after a few days. If you want to spend your days at the beach, sleep by the water, but if you’re planning on sightseeing and museums, you need to look for accommodation further inland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another huge surprise for visitors is the final price per room. The price you see on booking portals in Los Angeles is never the final price<\/strong>, because several additional fees get added on.
