During the summer holidays, expect more tourists and higher accommodation prices, but the city is also alive with outdoor festivals, music events and lively open-air markets. Summer is also the best time for boat trips and picnics in Toronto\u2019s spacious parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you visit in spring or early autumn, you\u2019ll avoid the biggest crowds while enjoying <strong>pleasant temperatures that are perfect for long walks around the city<\/strong>. In spring, the parks are beautifully framed by blooming Japanese cherry trees, while autumn turns the maple leaves into striking shades of red and gold. Travellers often consider these shoulder seasons the best time for relaxed sightseeing: it\u2019s not unbearably hot, and flights and hotels are usually a little more affordable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winter in Canada can be genuinely harsh, with temperatures often dropping well below freezing. <strong>But winter has an undeniable charm<\/strong>: the city sparkles with thousands of lights, and a huge public skating rink opens in front of City Hall.
