It often happens that a dream family holiday isn’t ruined by a child’s behaviour at the airport, but by missing paperwork<\/strong>. Every child needs their own child travel documents from birth, and being listed in a parent’s ID is no longer enough to cross a border today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest trouble at the border tends to come from a mother and child having different surnames<\/strong>. Although written consent from the second parent isn’t universally required across the European Union, certain countries and airlines may ask for it on a spot-check basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
