whole batch of photos in just a few seconds \u2014 and even if you don&#8217;t have the best eye for it, they can still look stunning. And you&#8217;ll be surprised: it&#8217;s actually pretty straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, I&#8217;ll first show you <strong>how to import photos into Lightroom, then give you a quick overview of basic edits, walk you through editing with <a href=\"http:\/\/powerofdoing.blog\/odkaz\/travel-in-her-shoes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presets<\/a>, and finally cover how to create your own custom presets<\/strong>. I&#8217;ll also explain how to batch-edit all photos taken under the same conditions and how to easily export them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of this article as an introduction to working with Lightroom \u2014 no single article can cover everything the program offers. <strong>If you want to learn Lightroom properly, I&#8217;d recommend finding a comprehensive online course that walks you through it step by step. That&#8217;s why most photographers and bloggers use Lightroom CC on desktop. If you don&#8217;t have <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Adobe Lightroom CC\" href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/doporucujeme\/adobe-lightroom-cc\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Adobe Lightroom CC<\/a> yet and would like to get it, check out the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Adobe Lightroom CC\" href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/adobe-lightroom-cc\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\"><strong>Photography Plan for \u20ac12.09 per month<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I won&#8217;t encourage you to pirate the software \u2014 especially if you plan to sell your photos, I strongly recommend owning Lightroom legally.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Import_Photos_into_Lightroom\"><\/span>How to Import Photos into Lightroom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Importing photos into Lightroom is just as easy as in any similar program. From the top menu bar, select <strong>File -&gt; Import Photos and Video<\/strong> and choose the folder you want to import from. You can decide whether to copy the originals to your computer or simply add them to the Lightroom catalogue (in that case, the source drive must be connected every time you want to edit them).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always <strong>make sure they&#8217;re sorted by capture time \u2014 &#8220;Sort: Capture time&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014 because you want all photos taken under the same lighting conditions to appear next to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"629\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Jak-naimportovat-fotografie-do-lightroomu-1024x629-1.png\" alt=\"Lightroom presets import screen\" class=\"wp-image-56035\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Importing photos into Lightroom works just like any other program<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your photos are in the Lightroom catalogue, <strong>switch from Library to Develop.<\/strong> Without this step, you won&#8217;t be able to start editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Jak-upravovat-fotografie-v-Lightroomu-1024x554-1.png\" alt=\"Lightroom presets develop module\" class=\"wp-image-56036\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">After importing your photos, switch to the Develop module<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Basic_Photo_Editing_in_Lightroom\"><\/span>Basic Photo Editing in Lightroom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the side panel, under &#8220;Basic,&#8221; you&#8217;ll find the fundamental adjustments Lightroom offers. You can tweak the temperature and tint of your photo. <strong>If your camera spat out photos that are too blue or too yellow (who hasn&#8217;t been there!), a subtle \u2014 okay, sometimes not-so-subtle \u2014 slider adjustment can fix the issue.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, this tool is also great for stylising your photos. If you want to give them a warmer or cooler feel, this is where you can have a play around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"632\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Prilis-modra-fotografie-1024x632-1.jpg\" alt=\"Lightroom presets colour temperature correction\" class=\"wp-image-56037\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">An overly blue photo can be easily corrected<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adjusting_Light_Contrast_and_Recovering_Dark_Areas\"><\/span>Adjusting Light, Contrast, and Recovering Dark Areas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common adjustment you&#8217;ll need is exposure \u2014 <strong>either the photo is too bright and needs darkening, or it&#8217;s too dark and needs brightening.<\/strong> Under basic adjustments, you&#8217;ll also find contrast. You can fine-tune individual tonal ranges too. When you increase saturation, you&#8217;re boosting the intensity of all colours equally. Need to make the sky a deeper blue? No problem. <strong>Want to shift the hue of a lake to make it more turquoise? The price is quite steep, but they&#8217;re absolutely worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Install_Presets_in_Lightroom\"><\/span>How to Install Presets in Lightroom<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If I can do it, anyone can. Once you&#8217;ve downloaded your presets, open Lightroom and go to the top menu bar -&gt; Lightroom \u2013&gt; Preferences -&gt; Show Lightroom Presets Folder -&gt; Lightroom -&gt; Develop Presets.
