After all, you&#8217;ve got matches, right? But matches can get damp overnight. A plastic lighter can leak or even explode. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s always better to have a reliable fire starter on hand \u2014 it works in wet conditions, even in the rain, and will likely last you a lifetime. <strong>For around 4 \u20ac, it&#8217;s an absolute no-brainer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We went with a <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/kresadlo-pinguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fire starter from the Czech brand Pinguin<\/a>.<\/strong> The link leads to their fire starter category, as the specific model tends to sell out quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/kresadlo-pinguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/1_kresadlo-na-kempovani-pinguin-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Pinguin fire starter for camping\" class=\"wp-image-52958\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Inflatable_Sleeping_Pad\"><\/span>Inflatable Sleeping Pad<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I still remember how Luk\u00e1\u0161 talked me out of bringing an inflatable mattress when we went camping in Hawaii for two weeks. To this day, I blame him for the fact that we only brought basic foam sleeping pads. Inflatable pads weigh less than self-inflating ones. You can pick up a basic inflatable mattress for around 15\u201320 \u20ac, but if you want proper quality, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/karimatka-pinguin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">we recommend the Czech brand Pinguin<\/a><\/strong>. Each pad comes with a repair kit, just in case you manage to puncture it (yes, it&#8217;s happened to us).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Travel_Pillow\"><\/span>Travel Pillow<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I don&#8217;t own one yet and I long for it every single time we camp.<\/strong> Most travel pillows pack down into a tiny 10-centimetre pouch and <strong>weigh around 50 g.<\/strong> I honestly can&#8217;t believe we still don&#8217;t have one. We hang one inside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nakemp.cz\/magazin\/pruvodce-vyberem-stanu-pro-kazdy-typ-dobrodruzstvi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the tent<\/a>, and then we each have one for the walk to the loo so we don&#8217;t trip over anything. When we were camping in the USA in our campervan, <strong>we also brought a lantern along.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It looked similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/svitilna-vango\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this Vango lantern<\/a>.<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/svitilna-vango\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Travel_Toiletry_Bottles\"><\/span><strong>Travel Toiletry Bottles<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m surely not the only one who&#8217;s had shampoo leak all over their suitcase, backpack, or rucksack (and yes, I triple-checked the cap was on tight \u2014 I swear). I started using travel bottles pretty early on, but tried several brands and they all started leaking before long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, I invested in some fairly pricey ones from Kikkerland, and so far they haven&#8217;t let me down. The one downside? They&#8217;re hard plastic, so squeezing out the last bit of shampoo is a pain \u2014 you end up having to shake it out. Some people have told me IKEA does decent ones, but I haven&#8217;t tried them personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I personally have a larger set with spray bottles, but right now I could only find <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/cestovni-lahvicky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this one<\/a> available.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/cestovni-lahvicky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/cestovni-lahvicky-na-kosmetiku-223x300.jpg\" alt=\"Travel toiletry bottles for camping\" class=\"wp-image-52963\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quick-Dry_Towel\"><\/span><strong>Quick-Dry Towel<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one of those items that practically every camper owns. <strong>Having an antibacterial, quick-drying, ultra-lightweight outdoor towel is a game changer \u2014 not just for camping but also for staying in hostels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My advice? Go for the largest size you can. We underestimated the size the first time (trying to save a few quid) and ended up having to buy another one anyway. <strong>Go for a size L or XL.<\/strong> There are loads of brands on the market. We personally use a quick-dry towel from <a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/cestovni-rucnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Sea To Summit<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/doporucujeme\/cestovni-rucnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.loudavymkrokem.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/rychleschnouci-cestovni-rucnik-300x198.jpg\" alt=\"Quick-dry travel towel\" class=\"wp-image-52965\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Spices_and_Salt_in_Small_Bags\"><\/span><strong>Spices and Salt in Small Bags<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This might be my favourite tip for any trip where you plan to cook.<\/strong> Pack some salt and spices in small resealable bags. They take up virtually no space, and suddenly you can turn a plain pot of red lentils into several completely different meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Collapsible_Camping_Cookware\"><\/span>Collapsible Camping Cookware<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We stumbled across collapsible containers by accident in a supermarket and took two with us to Iceland.
