In winter, parking is free, but in summer it&#8217;s not, and there&#8217;s also a limited number of people allowed on the beach. So go early! Carvoeiro Beach, or Praia do Carvoeiro, is small but beautiful. This iconic Algarve beach is located among impressive limestone cliffs on the beautiful Golden Coast. A walk on the golden sand with the gentle sound of waves is actually a form of meditation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.portugalbay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/meira-praia-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"Meia Praia in Algarve\" class=\"wp-image-856\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Meia Praia in Algarve<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Praia_Do_Carvalho\"><\/span>Praia Do Carvalho<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Praia do Carvalho is definitely one of the most photogenic beaches. It&#8217;s quite popular, so it can be crowded in summer, but we come here to read during winter. It&#8217;s usually quite peaceful here.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you come here outside of the hottest periods, we recommend heading to the trail that runs around Praia do Carvalho; it&#8217;s part of the famous hiking trail called <strong>Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos<\/strong> \u201cTrail of the Seven Hanging Valleys\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This trail is one of the most beautiful and popular in the Algarve, offering breathtaking views of the ocean, cliffs, and picturesque beaches. The trail connects Praia da Marinha and Praia de Vale Centeanes, passing right by Praia do Carvalho.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.portugalbay.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Praia-do-Carvalho-700x467.jpg\" alt=\"Praia do Carvalho\" class=\"wp-image-858\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Praia do Carvalho<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Praida_De_Odeceixe\"><\/span>Praida De Odeceixe<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Praia de Odeceixe is one of the popular beaches for families with children. We like to go to <strong>Endless Summer<\/strong>, where they have good coffee and food.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s usually quieter here, but in high season, it&#8217;s probably not quiet anywhere. Which is perfect for children to play and swim, and additionally, lifeguards are present during high season.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> There are beach bars, restaurants, and water sports equipment rentals, such as kayaks or paddleboards. You&#8217;ll find it near the town of Aljezur on the western coast of the Algarve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Year-round, it offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surf-forecast.com\/breaks\/Amoreira\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>good surfing conditions<\/strong><\/a> thanks to long, consistent waves. The waves here are usually suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best time for surfing is from October to May; the water here is clear, and the temperature is around 20 \u00b0C.
