TL;DR<\/strong>Sorrento is a “lemon” town in Campania perched on a cliff above the Bay of Naples, where the main highlights include Piazza Tasso<\/strong>, the Villa Comunale park, the Marina Grande and Piccola Marina harbours, the SS. Filippo e Giacomo Cathedral and the Corso Italia shopping street. The best time to visit is April to June and then September and October, when the weather is pleasant and there are fewer tourists. The easiest way to reach Sorrento is via Naples, from where the EAV train takes about an hour and a half. We recommend staying at least 3 days<\/strong>, and Sorrento also makes a great base for day trips to Capri<\/strong>, Amalfi, Positano and Pompeii.<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n
