The weather is perfect for exploring the cities and tackling shorter hikes \u2013 warm but not punishing, and in September the sea is still pleasantly warm after summer.<\/p>\n<p>Summer, especially <strong>July and August<\/strong>, can easily top 40 \u00b0C inland (Seville, C\u00f3rdoba) \u2013 doing a city tour in that heat is downright miserable. If you do go in summer, head for the coast instead. The main gateway to the region is <strong>M\u00e1laga airport (AGP)<\/strong>, which is closest to the Costa del Sol coast and most of the cities. From the Czech Republic you can either catch a direct seasonal flight or fly with one connection (typically via Madrid, <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Barcelona (booking)\" href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/doporucujeme\/barcelona-booking\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Barcelona<\/a> or another European hub). The flight time alone is roughly <strong>3.5 hours<\/strong>; with a connection, expect half a day of travel.<\/p>\n<p>A second option is to fly into <strong>Seville (SVQ)<\/strong> if you want to start your road trip inland. Driving from the Czech Republic is a long haul across the whole of Spain (over 2,500 km, realistically 2\u20133 days on the road) \u2013 it only makes sense for a proper long road trip. Once you&#8217;re in Andalusia, the easiest way to get around is by car, or by a mix of trains and buses between the major cities.<\/p>\n\n\n<!-- LK_DEST_FLIGHTS start -->\n<!-- LK_DEST_FLIGHTS end -->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"auto\">Renting a car<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>A car is <strong>well worth it for a road trip and for the white towns<\/strong> \u2013 Ronda, the Caminito del Rey, the mountain villages and the quieter beaches are far easier to reach by car than by public transport. Inside the big cities (Seville, C\u00f3rdoba, Granada), on the other hand, <strong>a car is more of a burden<\/strong> \u2013 the historic centres are closed to traffic (ZTL zones with fines) and parking is expensive.
