Set off early in the morning, or pick a lesser-known destination instead. <strong>Winter<\/strong>, on the other hand, calls for comfort: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/best-wellness-hotels-czech-republic\/\">wellness breaks<\/a><\/strong> and thermal spas are at full throttle, and the spa towns are wonderfully peaceful at this time of year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avoiding the crowds is simple \u2014 travel <strong>outside weekends and public holidays<\/strong>. It pays off especially on longer routes (Prague\u2013Brno, Prague\u2013Karlovy Vary) and for places where the centre is a pedestrian zone. Keep an eye out for <strong>discounted return tickets<\/strong> and family or group deals \u2014 once there are two or more of you, the per-person price drops nicely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A <strong>car<\/strong> comes into its own in the countryside and in regions with no public transport \u2014 South Moravia, the \u0160umava mountains, castles off the beaten track. Just bear in mind that <strong>parking is expensive<\/strong> in big city centres; we park at P+R car parks on the outskirts and take public transport into the centre. For shorter hops between cities, a long-distance <strong>coach<\/strong> is usually the cheapest option \u2014 just buy your ticket in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ubytovani\">Where to stay in Czechia<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We choose where to stay in Czechia based on the kind of trip it is. In cities we go for <strong>hotels and guesthouses<\/strong> near the centre, so everything is within walking distance \u2014 and sometimes for a little gem like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/julius-prague-hotel-review\/\">The Julius Prague<\/a><\/strong>, which we reviewed honestly. For a spa and relaxation break we head to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/karlovy-vary-wellness-hotels\/\">wellness hotels in Karlovy Vary<\/a><\/strong> or pick from our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/loudavymkrokem.cz\/en\/best-wellness-hotels-czech-republic\/\">favourite wellness breaks for two<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For trips into nature and with the kids, we go for <strong>cabins, cottages and campsites<\/strong> \u2014 they work out cheaper, you get more privacy and often your own kitchen too.
