Martwa Dziwna Lake

Martwa Dziwna is a fascinating natural formation, formed by the silting up of the original mouth of the Dziwna River into the sea. You’ll find this lake hidden in a dense forest, in some places just a hundred meters from the Baltic Sea.

A red-marked hiking trail leads around the lake, starting in the village center and continuing towards Dziwnów. A walk through the forest around the lake is a pleasant change from beach activities and offers shade even on hot summer days. The lake is also home to many water birds and plants, which will delight nature lovers.
